Welcome to my web page! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly. Here at Cal Poly, I currently teach Urban Economics, the Economics of Land and Water, and Principles of Microeconomics.
My research spans several areas of economics, including environmental economics, experimental economics, and decision making under risk and uncertainty. In the area of environmental economics, I am working on projects regarding wildfire risk management and the evaluation of river restoration projects. In the area of experimental economics, I am interested in how individuals learn to make decisions involving risk, in isolation and in noncooperative games.
When I'm not thinking about economics, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and watching bluegrass music.
